The Beginning In 1947 Fred Buesching uncovered rich peat moss on his family farm and a business was born. He started digging and selling the rich peat moss. For years, Kenton worked at the yard while his wife Janne did all the bookkeeping. The busy season for peat moss also happened to fall during the busy season for the farm.
